What is brightening and how is it performed?

The system on our brightening line has a length of 4800 mm and a height of 1200 mm (useful size). The process is carried out under an extraction hood and the chemical brightening bath works on both pure aluminium and aluminium alloys.

Brightening can be performed to produce any brushed finish with any colour, and the process enhances the specular reflectivity of the aluminium.

In order to polish the product as much as possible, we recommend that our specialized staff clean the pieces with sisal before proceeding with the treatment. Following this preparation, the pieces are immersed in chemical brighteners, which smooth the surface, making it specular.

Chemical brightening is widely used in the lighting sector, to improve the light output of parts designed to reflect light, resulting in significant energy savings. Polishing is also widely used in the automotive sector to replace steel, which is more expensive and less workable, and in furniture design and bathroom furniture to replace chrome plating, which is more expensive and more difficult to apply.
