Sealing: post-treatment for steel and metals

Sealing, through a chemical-physical process, allows for an increase in the corrosion resistance of materials previously treated with zinc plating, zinc-iron coatings, zinc-nickel plating or tin-plating processes.

Sealing, through a chemical-physical process, allows for an increase in the corrosion resistance of materials previously treated with zinc plating, zinc-iron coatings, zinc-nickel plating or tin-plating processes.

Some types of sealants, when applied inside pipes where the zinc layer has not penetrated, still allow a degree of protection up to 30 days (if the part is stored in a dry non-humid place).

Some sealants must catalyze temperatures up to +120 °C.

Please note that sealant applications are found on almost all zinc and zinc alloy specifications.
