Lubrication: post-treatment for steel and metals

Lubrication is a process by which a liquid substance is applied to reduce the coefficient of friction and wear of parts.

Lubrication is a process by which a liquid substance is applied to reduce the coefficient of friction and wear of parts.

This process is particularly useful for adjusting the coefficient of friction of parts used for tightening such as nuts, bolts or fasteners.

Below are all the types of lubricants we can offer.

GLEITMO 602

Gleitmo 602 was developed to achieve well-defined friction indices with minimal dispersion and is designed to never reach minimum friction values.

Gleitmo 602 was designed specifically for the coating of small parts.

The major advantages of Gleitmo 602 are, therefore:

  • forms a dry, colorless film that is resistant to touch and abrasion;
  • allows for consistent friction indices with minimal dispersion, making assembly values calculable and reproducible;
  • saves assembly time and is especially suitable for automatic screw mounting systems;
  • adheres very well to all materials;
  • contains UV additive for control by ultraviolet rays of the coating (340-380 nm).

GLEITMO 605

After the application of Gleitmo 605, a dry lubricating film forms that adheres very well to various surfaces and contains no solvents.

Gleitmo 605 is used for the lubrication of threaded screws, nuts, wood screws, sheet metal screws, set screws, screws for the electrical industry, connection nuts for fittings with a cutting ring, for the coating of small parts in large quantities, as an economical lubrication operation by immersion.

It meets the requirements of the automotive industry (VDA).

The major advantages of Gleitmo 605 are, therefore:

  • reduces assembly time (particularly suitable for automatic work systems);
  • does not smear or grease;
  • adheres to all materials;
  • does not affect the effectiveness of products used for locking screws;
  • forms a colorless-shiny, touch-resistant film;
  • contains UV additive for control by ultraviolet rays of the coating (340-380 nm).

GLEITMO 615

Gleitmo 615 is particularly suitable for stainless steel screws and nuts, self-tapping screws, rivets, wood screws and sheet metal screws.

It meets the requirements of the automotive industry (VDA).

The major advantages of Gleitmo 615 are, therefore:

  • forms a dry, colorless film that is resistant to touch and abrasion;
  • allows for consistent friction indices with minimal dispersion, making assembly values calculable and reproducible;
  • saves assembly time and is especially suitable for automatic screw mounting systems;
  • adheres very well to all materials;
  • contains UV additive for control by ultraviolet rays of the coating (340-380 nm).

GLEITMO 627

Through the application of Gleitmo 627, a dry, colorless lubricating film that is resistant to touch and abrasion is created on the treated parts.

For the optimization of lubrication characteristics, Gleitmo 627 also contains a special addition of a selected polytetrafluoroethylene.

The major advantages of Gleitmo 627 are, therefore:

  • use temperatures of the dry film: -40 / +110 °C;
  • allows for consistent friction indices with minimal dispersion, thus calculable and reproducible assembly values are achieved;
  • adheres very well to all materials, including stainless steel;
  • contains UV additive for control by ultraviolet rays of the coating (340-380 nm).

GLEITMO 925

Gleitmo 925 is a dry lubrication of stainless steel screws and nuts: no seizing and high clamping and unclamping force.

Gleitmo 925 is especially suitable for metal forming (no chips), dry lubrication of slide rails, joints and pins.

The major advantages of Gleitmo 925 are, therefore:

  • application temperatures: -180 / +250 °C;
  • resistant to mineral oils and synthetic fluids;
  • forms dry, adhesive lubricating films;
  • resistant to very high pressures;
  • low and constant coefficients of friction;
  • prevents cold seizing of materials that have this tendency;
  • facilitates assembly;
  • avoids stick-slip.

GLEITMO 985

Following the application of Gleitmo 985, a water-based, non-soiling, non-greasy PTFE lubricating lacquer is created.

The following are the major advantages of Gleitmo 985:

  • application temperatures: -180 / +250 °C;
  • allows for thin, dry sliding surfaces;
  • adheres very well to all surfaces;
  • excellent release and anti-stick properties;
  • is not problematic for the environment.
